The best coffees to work in Cusco (Peru)
For some reason I'm addicted to work in cafes with my laptop, it makes me happy, boosts my productivity and forces me to move out of my home, so each time I move to a new location I start with my investigation of the coffee with best WiFi and views (unfortunately they don't usually go hand in hand).
I spent almost 2 weeks in Cusco at the beginning of this month, these are the ones I tried from bottom to top:
#7 Organika Bakery & Coffee
Plaza Regocijo 209, Cusco
Don't go here to work, maybe you'll see this Cafe recommended somewhere, and they have excellent products (maybe a bit overpriced) but although they have also a decent internet, it's normally packed and they try to get you to leave as soon as you finish your food/drink.
The terrace is for dining only.
#6 La Valeriana - 13Mbps
C. Espinar 115, Cusco
This is another popular Cafe in a good place and with good products, and this is plenty of space, but the problem here is the WiFi, is not only that it's slow, it's completely unreliable and can stop working for minutes.
#5 Three Monkeys Coffee - 77Mbps
Pasaje Pampa de la Alianza 474, Cusco
Very good WiFi, good chocolate and a communal table with plugs, but I'd love more light and windows, but this is just my personal preference!
#4 Café Panadería Panam - 41Mpbs
Portal Nuevo 232 -Plaza Regocijo, Cusco
This is a bakery with two floors that also serves as a coffee-shop, the upstairs floor is very nice and has a few tables and the WiFi not the fastest but works well. I liked the vibe and the croissants 👀
#3 Starbucks - 20Mbps
Loreto 115, Cusco
I know I know, oh no another Starbucks, but it happens it has the best views by far being in the main square of Cusco in a 2nd floor.
The best places to sit are the ones where the windows looking at the square, but the WiFi is worse, but still usable.
The entrance is tricky, you must go to a patio shared with a hotel to enter the actual cafe.
#2 Café D'Wasi - 18Mbps
Calle Heladeros 135, Cusco
We are already at the 2nd place! This cafe has light and has a very nice vibe, the not so fast WiFi works very well and has good prices and it's in a good location.
Nothing really special, but I just felt so comfortable working there 😊
#1 Qura - 350Mbps
Calle Arequipa 250, Cusco
This cafe has everything! Astonishing WiFi, awesome vibe with some other fellow laptop workers and really good food at a fair price, it is at a second floor.
